We have partnered with a defense civil litigation firm that is growing their billing department. The position is based out of Long Beach, the firm and department have excellent tenure.

Most of the accounting / billing department has been with the firm for 10 years. They run a busy office, which is why they are looking for their next all-star Billing Specialist!

The Ideal Candidate will have the following :

• 5 years working in billing, preferably 3 years in defense law firm environment
• Excellent math skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience in legal billing software (Legalmaster, Zolasuite)
• Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting or equivalent preferred but not required

The Job Duties include :

• Compile and bill attorney hours, review and edit pre-bills
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and collections
• Research and respond to any billing inquiries
• Knowledge of client billing cycles
• Upload all data into legal billing software, log entries into billing sub-ledgers
• Ability to work on-site
